CVE-2024-45735Network attack vector

Authenticated disclosure of configuration and cryptographic keys

Published Oct 14, 2024 · Updated Feb 28, 2025

Improper access control in Splunk Secure Gateway allows remote authenticated users to read deployment configuration and cryptographic keys. The affected app exposes its KV Store deployment configuration and public and private keys to roles below admin or power, but Splunk has not disclosed the faulty endpoint or authorization check. Any low-privileged account can obtain these secrets over the network without either elevated role; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
