CVE-2024-45713

Sensitive-data disclosure via verbose debug logging

Published Oct 17, 2024 · Updated Oct 17, 2024

Sensitive-data disclosure in SolarWinds Kiwi CatTools 3.12 and earlier allows local users to read credentials from troubleshooting logs. The debug log records complete device exchanges and writes usernames, passwords, prompts, and returned device data into a plaintext file. Exploitation requires high privileges, user interaction, and the non-default troubleshooting setting; exposed credentials can grant access to managed devices.
