CVE-2024-45673

Local credential disclosure via readable configuration files

Published Feb 21, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Credential exposure in IBM Verify Bridge for Directory Sync 1.0.1 through 1.0.12 allows local users to read stored credentials. The IcbLdapSync.json configuration holds LDAP passwords and Verify API client secrets, while affected releases leave those values readable to low-privilege local accounts. Exploitation requires an existing local account and exposes synchronization credentials, without reported integrity or availability impact.
