CVE-2024-45670Network attack vector

Account takeover via weak password recovery

Published Nov 14, 2024 · Updated Nov 14, 2024

Weak password recovery in IBM Security QRadar SOAR 51.0.1.0 and earlier allows attackers to take over a compromised user account. IBM has not published which password-recovery component or validation error permits a password change without the original password. Exploitation requires prior compromise of the account, and the resulting password change preserves access under the affected user's privileges.
