CVE-2024-45663Network attack vector

Authenticated server crash via crafted query

Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Dec 20, 2024

Denial of service in IBM Db2 11.1.4 through 11.1.4.7, 11.5.0 through 11.5.9, and 12.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server. A specially crafted query supplies an excessive memory-allocation size, but IBM withholds the affected Db2 functionality and replication details. Network access with low privileges is required; successful exploitation interrupts the database service without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
