CVE-2024-45598Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Server file disclosure via unrestricted stderr log path

Published Jan 27, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Path traversal in Cacti before 1.2.29 allows remote authenticated users with administrative privileges to read server files. The Poller Standard Error Log Path setting accepts an arbitrary local pathname, and the Logs tab reads and renders that file without restricting it to an expected log file. The user must be an administrator or hold permission to change that path; exposure is limited to files readable by the Cacti web process.
