CVE-2024-45583

Memory corruption via DMA IOCTL use-after-free

Published May 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Use-after-free in affected Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets allows local users to corrupt memory through DMA IOCTL sequences. In the secure-processor DMA path, object lifetime handling across multiple userspace IOCTL calls leaves a freed allocation available for later use. Low-privileged local access is required; successful exploitation can disclose protected data, make limited changes, and interrupt operation.
