CVE-2024-45582

Kernel memory corruption via invalid device count

Published Feb 3, 2025 · Updated Feb 3, 2025

Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon Camera Driver allows local users to corrupt kernel memory by supplying an invalid device count. The cam_tfe_mgr_get_hw_caps_internal function validates the supplied device count incorrectly before using it to access an array. Low-privileged local access is required, and successful exploitation compromises privileged kernel memory without user interaction.
