CVE-2024-45573

Memory corruption via negative display ID indexing

Published Feb 3, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon display software allows local users to compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The test-pattern generator uses a negative display ID as an index, producing a pointer outside the intended display-ID range. A local low-privileged user must reach test-pattern generation; Qualcomm does not disclose the resulting memory-access primitive.
