Memory corruption via concurrent buffer reference modification
Published May 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Use-after-free in Qualcomm Snapdragon camera drivers allows local users to corrupt memory during concurrent buffer access. The driver modifies a buffer's reference count while the buffer is being accessed concurrently, allowing an access to outlive the allocation. Low-privileged local access is required and no user interaction is needed; Qualcomm does not identify the affected function or disclose the resulting operation beyond memory corruption.
