CVE-2024-45556

Key disclosure via permissive TCSR register access

Published Apr 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2025

Improper register access control in Qualcomm Snapdragon TZ firmware allows local users to read cryptographic key data from TCSR. The access-control configuration for the TCSR memory-mapped register interface permits Linux to read registers that should remain confined to the trusted execution environment. Local low-privileged code execution is required, and the reported consequence is disclosure of cryptographic key material without modification or service interruption.
