Service interruption via out-of-bounds CGI write
Published Dec 4, 2025 · Updated Dec 4, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Synology DSM and DSMUC CGI components allows remote attackers to interrupt service via unspecified network vectors. Synology has disclosed only that a CGI component writes beyond a buffer boundary; it has not identified the CGI program, input field, or malformed value that reaches the write. No authentication or user interaction is required; affected releases are DSM before 7.2.1-69057-2 and 7.2.2-72806 and DSMUC before 3.1.4-23079.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
