Antivirus engine denial of service via PE32 scan

Denial of service in WithSecure Atlant 1.0.35-1 allows remote attackers to stop the antivirus engine by submitting a crafted PE32 file. The scanner corrupts memory while parsing the PE32 input, causing the antivirus engine to fail; WithSecure has not disclosed the affected parser or memory operation. A reachable scanning interface and acceptance of attacker-controlled file content are required, and the reported consequence is limited to interruption of antivirus scanning.
