Account takeover via unverified social-login email
Published Jun 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in Phoeniixx Social Login Lite For WooCommerce 1.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to assume any account by email. The social-login handler accepts an attacker-supplied email as the identity lookup key without adequately verifying that the provider authenticated that user. Knowledge of an existing user's email is sufficient to receive that user's WordPress session, including an administrator session.
