CVE-2024-45484

Service interruption via enabled ICMP redirection

Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2025

Resource allocation failure in B&R APROL before 4.4-00P5 allows unauthenticated adjacent attackers to interrupt product operation. The operating-system network configuration enables ICMP redirection, but B&R has not disclosed the exact resource exhausted by malicious traffic. Access to an adjacent control network is required, and B&R describes a denial-of-service condition without specifying whether operation hangs, crashes, or reboots.
