CVE-2024-45481

User impersonation via incomplete SSH script filtering

Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Authentication bypass in the SSH-server scripts of B&R APROL before 4.4-00P5 allows local users to authenticate as another user. The scripts incompletely filter special elements used during SSH authentication, but B&R has not identified the scripts, inputs, or omitted characters. Exploitation requires an authenticated low-privileged local account and grants the identity and access of another legitimate user, with confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
