Code execution via WRL parser memory corruption
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Dec 10, 2024
Memory corruption in Siemens Teamcenter Visualization and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation allows attackers to execute process-context code. The WRL parser corrupts memory while reading a specially crafted file, but Siemens has not disclosed the faulty parsing operation or code locus. Exploitation requires a user to open an untrusted WRL file and chaining with another vulnerability; successful exploitation runs code in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
