Code execution via WRL parser out-of-bounds write
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Dec 10, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Siemens Teamcenter Visualization and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation allows attackers to execute code through a crafted WRL file. In Plant Simulation, the wrltojt module fails to validate file-controlled data before writing past an allocated data structure; Siemens has not named the corresponding Teamcenter locus. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file or visit a malicious page, and resulting code runs in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
