CVE-2024-45462

Session hijacking via incomplete logout invalidation

Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Oct 16, 2024

Session expiration failure in the Apache CloudStack web interface allows attackers to reuse a user's session after logout. The web interface logout operation leaves its server-side session valid until time-based expiry or a backend-service restart. The attacker must have access to the victim's browser; affected releases are 4.15.1.0 through 4.18.2.3 and 4.19.0.0 through 4.19.1.1, and reuse grants access to the account's resources.
