Unauthenticated path disclosure via maintenance-page errors
Published Aug 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 21, 2025
Full path disclosure in Drupal core before 10.2.9, 10.3.6, and 11.0.5 allows remote attackers to read server paths via maintenance pages. When settings.php assigns hash_salt from file_get_contents() and the referenced file is absent or empty, authorize.php, install.php, and update.php render the resulting error with the full Drupal directory path despite disabled error logging. The site must use this non-default salt configuration and lose or empty the referenced file; disclosure is limited to filesystem paths.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
