CVE-2024-45412Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service hang via unbounded Unicode tag normalization

Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024

Denial of service in Yeti 2.1.10 allows remote authenticated users to hang Windows deployments via oversized Unicode tags. The tag-processing path applies NFKD normalization to unbounded user-controlled text, and expansion characters such as U+2105 can triple the payload before normalization. A valid account and a Windows deployment are required; the resulting CPU and memory exhaustion can make the service unavailable.
