Session fixation in AutomationDirect H2-DM1E 2.8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers on an adjacent network to gain PLC access. The PLC accepts multiple distinct packets as valid responses to one authentication challenge instead of requiring the expected unique response. Exploitation requires adjacent-network reachability and yields only the privileges granted to the resulting authenticated session.
