Project deletion via nonce-free administrative POST
Published May 27, 2024 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
CSRF in KKProgressbar2 Free 1.1.4.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete projects through an administrator's session. The kkpb-menu administration handler accepts a delete-project POST action and caller-supplied project ID without verifying a CSRF nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML, and the demonstrated consequence is deletion of a selected project.
