Stored XSS via forged project-save request
Published May 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 9, 2024
Stored XSS in KKProgressbar2 Free 1.1.4.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script through a forged project-save request. The save-project handler accepts kkpb_project_name without CSRF validation, sanitization, or output escaping and stores the supplied payload. A logged-in administrator must open attacker-controlled HTML; the script then executes in the administrator's browser when the plugin menu renders.
