Improper authorization in Fortinet FortiSOAR allows remote authenticated users to brute-force passwords through crafted HTTP requests. In affected 7.0, 7.2, 7.3, and 7.4 releases, the GUI change-password endpoint inadequately validates the target user and applies no brute-force protection to repeated requests. A valid account and network access to the GUI are required, and the attack targets both ordinary-user and administrator passwords.
