Card editing via missing CSRF nonce validation
Published May 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Esterox Business Card 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to edit cards through a forged request. The card-edit handler at wp-admin/admin.php?page=es-bcard-options accepts POSTed img_data and edit values without validating a CSRF nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to open attacker-controlled HTML, after which the forged request changes the selected card.
