CVE-2024-45302Public exploit

Request smuggling via unvalidated CRLF header values

Published Aug 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 30, 2024

CRLF injection in RestSharp 107 through 111 allows attackers to inject HTTP headers or smuggle HTTP/1.1 requests via header values. RestRequest.AddHeader, RestRequest.AddOrUpdateHeader, and RestClient.AddDefaultHeader pass header values to HttpHeaders.TryAddWithoutValidation without rejecting carriage-return or line-feed characters. Exploitation requires a consuming application to place attacker-controlled data in a header; a reachable web application can consequently issue attacker-chosen server-side requests.
