CVE-2024-45274Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root command execution via confnet

Published Oct 15, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Missing authentication in mbNET.mini and REX 100 firmware through 2.2.13 allows remote attackers to execute OS commands as root. The default /usr/bin/confnet service on UDP port 25353 treats a serial number as its only gate and dispatches supplied command messages with highest system privileges. Network reachability to the LAN configuration service is sufficient for device compromise, including file upload, reboot, and root command execution.
