CVE-2024-45242Public exploit

Root command execution via diagnostic shell metacharacters

Published Oct 24, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024

OS command injection in EnGenius ENH1350EXT firmware through 3.9.3.2_c1.9.51 allows remote authenticated users to execute root commands. The Ping and Speed Test utilities pass user-controlled values containing shell metacharacters to operating-system commands without adequate neutralization. Access is limited to proximity to the unsecured Wi-Fi network during initial setup and use of the admin/admin defaults, after which injected commands run with root privileges.
