Improper validation in Apache CloudStack 4.0.0 through 4.18.2.3 and 4.19.0.0 through 4.19.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to read host files. The KVM template and volume validation path accepts disk images with host-file backing references instead of requiring flat files. Exploitation requires permission to upload or register and deploy or attach an image; crafted references can expose or alter host resources, cause data loss, or interrupt service.
