Authenticated file disclosure via pipeline path traversal
Published Aug 23, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
Path traversal in Mage AI's Mage allows remote authenticated users with Viewer access to read server files through a pipeline interaction request. The interaction route accepts URL-encoded parent-directory segments in its path parameter and resolves them outside the intended pipeline directory. A Viewer API key and bearer token are required, and successful exploitation discloses files readable by the Mage server process.
