CVE-2024-45188Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file disclosure via encoded path traversal

Published Aug 23, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024

Path traversal in Mage AI 0.9.73 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with the Viewer role to read arbitrary server files. The File Content API accepts percent-encoded dot-dot path segments in its requested filename and resolves them outside the intended content directory. A valid API key and bearer token with Viewer access are required, and successful requests disclose files readable by the Mage server process.
