Stored script execution via unsanitized tile content
Published Sep 3, 2024 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Stored XSS in Knowledge Editor tiles in SquaredUp DS for SCOM 6.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts. The tile stores dashboard content without sanitizing malicious scripts and later renders that content in the application. Dashboard-creation privileges are required, and execution depends on another user's interaction with the crafted tile, where the script acts within that user's application session.
