CVE-2024-45179Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via shell metacharacters

Published Oct 9, 2024 · Updated Oct 9, 2024

OS command injection in za-internet C-MOR Video Surveillance 5.2401 and 6.00PL01 allows remote authenticated users to execute Linux commands. The generatesslreq.pml, settimezone.pml, and setdatetime.pml scripts pass metacharacter-bearing POST parameters such as city or year to shell commands without sufficient validation. A low-privileged account reaches generatesslreq.pml and gains www-data execution, while the time-setting routes require an administrator; a separate privilege-escalation flaw enables root execution.
