Authenticated code execution via permissive backup upload
Published Sep 5, 2024 · Updated Sep 6, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in za-internet C-MOR Video Surveillance 5.2401 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The backup upload handler accepts any filename containing .cbkf, stores the file under /srv/www/backups, and serves it from a web-accessible path where PHP executes. Low-privileged accounts can reach the upload function, so a crafted double-extension file provides command execution in the web server context.
