CVE-2024-45169Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated service crash via malformed TCP message

Published Aug 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2024

Memory corruption in UCI Software GmbH UCI IDOL 2 through 2.12 allows remote attackers to crash its service via a crafted TCP message. The listener on TCP port 2113 processes a message beginning with the byte sequence B0 00 3C without adequate input, deserialization, or buffer-bounds checks. No authentication or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is service interruption, while code execution remains unconfirmed.
