CVE-2024-45102Network attack vector

Authenticated XCC privilege escalation through SSO authorization failure

Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 15, 2025

Privilege escalation in Lenovo XClarity Administrator before 4.1 allows remote authenticated users to gain elevated XCC permissions. Lenovo has not disclosed the precise token, transport, or authorization operation that fails when LXCA supplies an SSO identity to a connected XClarity Controller. Reachability requires a valid LXCA account, a connected XCC instance, and LXCA configured as that instance's SSO provider; the result is unauthorized access to XCC data and functions.
