Authorization bypass in IBM Aspera Faspex 5.0.0 through 5.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to modify restricted resources. The server-side authorization logic trusts HTTP permission methods when enforcing access restrictions, allowing requests to pass intended resource controls. Low-privileged credentials and network access to the Faspex interface are required; no service interruption or unauthenticated impact is reported.
