Service interruption via crafted JSF request
Published Oct 15, 2024 · Updated Oct 16, 2024
Denial of service in IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted JSF request. The vulnerable path is reached only when a deployed JSF application uses Sun Reference Implementation 1.2; IBM has not disclosed which request field or exceptional condition produces the error. The request requires no authentication or user interaction, but IBM rates exploitation high-complexity and reports no confidentiality or integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
