CVE-2024-45084Network attack vector

Command execution via unneutralized CSV formulas

Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Sep 29, 2025

Formula injection in IBM Controller 11.0.0 through 11.0.1 FP3 and 11.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. Exported spreadsheet files retain formula-leading cell content instead of neutralizing it, so spreadsheet software interprets attacker-supplied data as a formula. Exploitation requires authenticated data submission and a user to open the generated file; successful formulas run commands in that user's context.
