Authenticated restricted-content modification
Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 15, 2025
Incorrect authorization in IBM Controller 11.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to modify restricted content over the network. IBM Cognos Controller 11.0.0 through 11.0.1 FP3 is also affected; IBM has not disclosed the affected endpoint or authorization check, but states that the application incorrectly permits writes to content that should be restricted. A valid low-privilege account and network access are required, and the reported consequence is unauthorized content modification without disclosure or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
