Unrestricted file upload in IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to upload restricted file types. The MXAPIASSET API accepts a restricted filename when a trailing dot is appended, bypassing file-type validation on Windows. Low-privileged Maximo access is sufficient to place otherwise prohibited files on the server; execution or disclosure is not reported.
