Authenticated-user JavaScript execution via unescaped mapname
Published Jan 15, 2025 · Updated Jan 15, 2025
Reflected XSS in Observium CE 24.4.13528 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted weather-map editor link. The weather-map editor concatenates the unescaped mapname query value into a form action in includes/weathermap/editor.php. Execution requires an authenticated user to follow the malicious link and runs in that user's Observium origin, enabling access to or modification of session-visible data.
