Token disclosure via untrusted artifact endpoint
Published Aug 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Improper authentication in Shopify Tophat before 1.10.0 allows remote attackers to steal an app token through a malicious Tophat URL. The API artifact-retrieval flow reads TOPHAT_APP_TOKEN from ~/.tophatrc and sends it to the supplied server without validating that server as trusted. Opening the crafted URL is required, after which the exposed token grants access to otherwise private mobile build artifacts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
