Execution with unnecessary privileges in Apache Airflow before 2.10.1 allows remote authenticated users to run code on scheduler nodes. Initialization adds the DAG folder to Python's sys.path before importing airflow_local_settings, allowing a DAG author to supply the imported module. DAG-author access is sufficient, and the injected Python runs with the scheduler's privileges on its host.
