CVE-2024-45033Network attack vector

Persistent access via uncommitted session deletion

Published Jan 8, 2025 · Updated Jan 8, 2025

Insufficient session expiration in Apache Airflow FAB provider before 1.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to retain web access. The reset_user_sessions method deletes database-backed session rows but, during CLI password changes, fails to commit that transaction, leaving prior session cookies valid. The user must hold a live session when an administrator changes the password through the CLI; web-based password changes are not affected.
