CVE-2024-45032Network attack vector

Device impersonation via improper token validation

Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024

Authorization bypass in Siemens Industrial Edge Management Pro before 1.9.5 and Virtual before 2.3.1-1 allows remote attackers to impersonate devices. The device-onboarding components accept device tokens without properly validating that they identify the presenting device. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful use grants the targeted device's identity within the management system.
