CVE-2024-45031Network attack vector

Stored XSS via incomplete-tag sanitization bypass

Published Oct 24, 2024 · Updated Sep 1, 2025

Stored XSS in Apache Syncope Console and Enduser 2.1 through 2.1.14 and 3.0 through 3.0.8 allows remote attackers to hijack sessions. The TextFieldPanel validator recognized complete HTML tags but allowed incomplete tag fragments to be stored and later rendered in other users’ pages. Execution requires another user to view the stored field; Enduser payloads run in an administrator’s Console session, enabling session hijacking.
