Kernel memory disclosure via out-of-bounds register read
Published Sep 4, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Linux 6.8 through 6.10.6 allows local users to read kernel memory through V3D compute-shader jobs. v3d_csd_job_run() iterates over eight configuration registers even though the UAPI supplies a seven-element __u32 array, so the eighth access reads beyond the array. Reachability requires local V3D job submission on affected hardware; the published reproduction used V3D 7.1 on a Raspberry Pi 5, and the specific availability failure mode is undisclosed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
