Administrator session theft via active file uploads
Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024
Cross-site scripting in moziloCMS 3.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser through SVG or XML uploads. The admin Files interface accepts active SVG or XML content and later serves it as browser-renderable content without removing embedded script. Exploitation requires Files permission and an administrator to open the uploaded file, enabling theft of that administrator's session cookie.
